Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Downtown!

Trinity Downtown is committed to serving our community and that includes the downtown homeless.  We have two significant ways that we reach out to these important individuals: our Sack Lunch Program and our Homless Meals.  We are always in need of people to help fulfill God's command of taking care of the less fortunate.  If you have a heart for the homeless, then please contact Pastor Aaron at 713.229.2903 or Pastor Lytle

Sack Lunch Program: Mon - Fri at our main church entrance we hand out sack lunches between the hours of 9:00am and 11:00am.  Included in the meal might be a sandwich, a drink, and fruit.

Homeless Meals: Periodically throughout the year (usually 4 times a year) we host a wonderful meal for our homeless community in our school gym after the ninethirtyone worship service from 12:00pm - 1:00pm.  If you volunteer, you might find yourself handing out food, refilling drinks, and most importantly, engaging in conversation and hearing their stories.

Christmas Party for Trinity's Homeless Community: Periodically throughout the year (usually 4 times a year) we host a wonderful meal for our homeless community. The next homeless meal will be on December 11th, 2011 @ 12:30 in the multi purpose room. Christmas Gifts for Trinity's Homeless Community: Purchase $10.00 vouchers for Salvation Army. There are 3 ways to purchase:

             Online at Salvation Army Voucher

             Sunday offering envelope. (Just write S.A. vouchers on your envelope.)

             Church office: Just stop into the church office and drop off a check. (make checks out to Trinity Lutheran Church and note S.A. vouchers)
