We embrace many styles of worship here at Trinity, because it's not about how we worship, but who we worship.  We offer a liturgical service that honors the rich Lutheran heritage many of you have loved for many years with the organ as the primary instrument. We also have a traditional service, which closely resembles the liturgical service but is a little more relaxed, and the music is accompanied by a beautiful orchestra.  And last but not least, we offer a laid-back, modern worship service where the band is loud and you can come hungry (we have a complete coffee/pastry bar) wearing your favorite shorts and  flip-flops.

Trinity is a church and school near downtown Houston with all kinds of activities to help you and your family discover, explore, and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We meet together to worship God and learn more about Him. Worship at Trinity features inspiring music and dynamic messages that are relevant to the needs of people today.  Trinity Downtown has been a vibrant and active church in Houston for over 130 years. The worship and Bible study are relevant to today’s issues and can be easily applied to your life. The worship styles range from classic to modern.

We invite you to come to a worship hour best suiting your schedule and style. One question that we hear quite often is “What do Lutherans Believe?” Part of the question is fairly easy to answer. To really understand, though, we encourage you to visit Trinity Downtown. Make plans this Sunday to visit Trinity Downtown for one of our weekend Worship services and join us in singing praises to the Lord.
Liturgical - 8:15am Sundays in the Sanctuary
A traditional style of worship that has been part of the Christian church for hundreds of years. The service follows closely the order for worship outlined in the Lutheran Service Book. Music is primarily accompanied by a large pipe organ, although a variety of instruments are used to enrich the singing of the rich hymnody of the Lutheran church. This service is well attended with an average of 300 present. Children’s messages are offered during this service which offers something for everyone. If you like a structured order of worship, you will enjoy this worship opportunity which is conducted with excellence at Trinity.
'ninethirtyone' modern worship- 9:31am Sundays in the Gym
Trinity Lutheran Church is known for its rich worship history. The ninethirtyone service is a completely different style of worship. The ninethirtyone experience includes modern Christian music in a relaxed atmosphere where gourmet coffee and pastries are present. Participants have the option to sit around tables as we work toward building community. The service uses video/multimedia to further interaction with the community. 'theeleventhhour' modern worship - 11:15am Sundays in the Gym (Began 9/12/2010)
theeleventhhour is a new community that is forming especially, although, not exclusively, for young adults.  Just as Trinity created ninethirtyone, ninethirtyone is now starting a community.  theeleventhhour will be very similar to ninethirtyone in format and style but might look different based on the community of worshipers.  If you are a young adult and would like to get in on the action, please contact Pastor Aaron at 713-229-2903.  This new community had their first worship service on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 11:15 am in the gym. You can also worship online at live.ninethirtyone.org.  Broadcast begins at 11am CT.  Read more.
Traditional - 11:00am Sundays in the Sanctuary
This worship time features the best of the Lutheran Service Book and the best in Christian contemporary music. Music is accompanied by a variety of instruments, from the organ to guitar and drums. Children’s messages are offered during this service providing something for everyone. If you miss singing those “great hymns you remember” but also enjoy the “new songs out there” then you won’t want to miss this worship opportunity.

Can't make it to church this Sunday?  Then join us online at live.ninethirtyone.org for LIVE broadcasts of the ninethirtyone and theeleventhhour worship services.  This is a great way to worship when you are sick or out of town.  You can join in worship with others from around the country.  Currently, we have regular worshippers from Texas, Massachusetts, California, and Alaska.  ninethirtyone broadcast begins at 9:15am on Sundays; theeleventhhour broadcast begins at 11am.
Adult Bible Studies
Being a Christian means being Christ-like.  There is no better way of understanding Christ than studying the Bible.  Trinity Downtown offers many adult Bible studies during the week.  Check out our current Bible studies.
Sunday School
The brain of a child is a sponge yearning to be filled with the knowledge of God.  Studying the Bible satisfies that desire and trains the child in the faith.  Trinity Downtown offers several Bible studies for children of all ages on Sunday mornings.
