Christian-Based Academic Programs for Grades Pre-K through 8th Grade...

As soon as you step through the doors of Trinity Lutheran School you can feel the excitement. From the hallways filled with student artwork to the classrooms alive with activity, you know that ours is a dynamic community, full of life, learning and the pursuit of wonder. From a student's earliest years Trinity Lutheran School engages children in challenging academic exploration and the pursuit of Christian values. At no time in a child’s development is instilling strong moral and ethical values more important than during these formative years. Trinity is focused on guiding the development of strong personal character, self-esteem, leadership, self-discipline, respect for others, community service and an appreciation for the blessings of God.

Since our founding at the same time as Trinity Lutheran Church in 1879,we have been and continue to be dedicated solely to educational excellence. Trinity Lutheran School’s mission is to “Inspire and empower students with a Christ-centered education.” Academic programs at all levels, whether it be early childhood, elementary school or middle school, are delivered in an environment where Christ’s love permeates every aspect of the school day. As a private school in downtown Houston, Trinity is convenient for parents who work in the heart of the City and want to be close to their children’s school. Trinity’s Extended Care Program (before and after school) and Early Childhood Center for infants through Pre-Kindergarten add to the convenience.

Curriculum - Quality Academics in a Christian Environment
Our curriculum- reading, mathematics, science, social studies, history, geography, language, physical education and the arts - is taught with excellence in a Christian environment. Trinity Lutheran School teachers and staff members are entrusted with the care, education, and spiritual growth of each student. To ensure that every child feels secure, happy, and motivated to learn, Trinity adheres to the following:

  • Providing an environment that is safe, caring, and conducive to learning.
  • Stimulating students to develop and apply their God-given abilities.
  • Building self-esteem and accountability for their behavior.
  • Nurturing the acceptance of one another as they learn and play together as valued and respected members of the Trinity Lutheran School community.
  • Encouraging each student to build their lives through prayer and Bible study and to learn to become Christian leaders.

Measuring Success Through Partnership
Strong relationships between teachers, students and parents are fostered through regular meetings and daily interaction. Parents are encouraged to participate as classroom volunteers, as chaperones and drivers for field trips, and in a variety of other ways.
