Elementary (Grades Kindergarten through 5)

Secure, Creative Elementary School Program

Trinity Lutheran School provides the secure, creative environment that elementary school-age children need to explore and experiment. Our Christian-based programs strive to instill a life-long love of learning and a quest for knowledge among elementary school students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Kindergarten: Our reading program uses both whole language and phonics. The goal of our math program is to develop a solid foundation through hands-on experiences and discussion.

Grades 1, 2 & 3: Students learn to excel in solving problems, engaging ideas and creating solutions. We offer a winning combination of caring teachers, small classes, personal attention, and a developmental approach to integrated subject matter.

Grades 4 & 5: Our students become active thinkers, makers and explorers of ideas. They accomplish this through academic skill development, imaginative abstract thinking, and organization and discipline.

Pupils in these grades are taught in self-contained classrooms with some departmentalization. Physical Education, Spanish and Fine Arts classes are departmentalized in each grade. Extracurricular activities such as field trips, Spring Musical and competitive sports are also part of the Trinity experience.
