She is a graduate of Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Married for 37 years, she and her husband have one daughter. She has been teaching for over 28 years as either a Resource or Art teacher. Her family is active at Tallowood Baptist Church, and she enjoys running. |
Band Dottie Burroughs dburroughs@trinitydt.org 713.229.2971 713.224.1163 Fax Mrs. Burroughs has taught band at all the Lutheran Schools in Houston. She has been at Trinity since 1998. Prior to moving to Houston in 1988, she taught in Lombard IL, Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN. She received the Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University, River Forest, IL (1975), and the Master of Music, from the University of Houston (1993). As Director of the Instrumental Music Program for the Lutheran Education Association of Houston, she coordinates the band program for five Lutheran grade schools in Houston that feed into Lutheran High North. She has been a member of the Gulf Coast Concert Band (oboe and tenor saxophone) since 1998 and also serves on their board. She directs the Trinity Woodwinds, an adult woodwind ensemble for Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as teaching Sunday School for two year olds and their parents. Her family's association with Trinity goes back to 1939, when her mother taught first grade. Growing up with Trinity stories helped shape what Christ-centered ministry is all about. |

Mrs. Balog is from Ft. Worth but has lived in Kingwood for the past 12 years. A lifelong musician, She has been directing church choirs for almost 30 years. Mrs. Balog joined the Trinity staff in 2009. Prior to coming to Trinity , she was on staff at Kingwood United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Houston, and is currently the choir master at Trinity Episcopal in The Woodlands. Mrs. Balog has sung with the Arlington Choral Society, Dallas Symphony Chorus, the Kingwood Chorale, and Cantare Houston. She has also played handbells with Houston Bronze Ensemble and is currently playing with Strikepoint of Texas. Mrs Balog serves on the board of the Houston Chapter of Chorister's Guild as Vice President. She has three children and is keeps busy going to Kingwood Park High School football games, band concerts, and swim meets. |
Physical Education Lisa Schneider lschneider@trinitydt.org 713-229-2936 713-229-2987 Fax Mrs. Schneider currently is teaching physical education classes to grades PS3-8th grade, health to students in K-8th grade, and coaching the track and field team in the spring. Mrs. Schneider has been teaching physical education and coaching for over 17 years. She has a BS degree from the University of Houston and a Master Degree in Curriculum & Instruction: Reading Instruction from Grand Canyon Universiity. Her favorite things to do during her free time are to run, run, run and train for marathons and triathlons, watch her sons race BMX and spending time with her children. She is married to Paul and has two wonderful children. |

Mrs. Herra was born and raised in Honduras. She received her Bachelor in Marketing and a Certification in Psychology from the University of San Pedro Sula, Honduras in 2000. She has taught pre-school through high school Spanish. Sjhe moved to Houston in 2006. She began her teaching career at Lutheran High North teaching Spanish in 2006. In 2007 she joined the Trinity Team teaching Spanish to pre-school through 8th grde students. She is married to Oscar and they have two children and are members of Trinity. Both of her children attend school here at TLS. |
