Mrs. Bowen joined the staff of Trinity Lutheran School in August of 2001. She was born in Goshen, New York, spent most of her childhood growing up in New York and moved to Houston after graduating from high school.  Mrs. Bowen is a graduate of Concordia University, Austin. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education with specializations in Early Childhood, reading and speech/communications. She earned a Masters of Education from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. Mrs. Bowen enjoys reading, camping, theater, traveling and any time spent with her family. She is married to Sean Bowen, TLS's Director of Technology. They have two sons and a daughter. 

Kindergarten Aide
Lori Roesel

 

Mrs. Roesel grew up in Houston, Texas. She is in the process of completing her degree in Primary Education with emphasis in Math. Mrs. Roesel has been a member at Trinity for twenty years, and joined the Trinity Staff in August, 2008. She serves as the Kindergarten Aide and seeks to meet each student's individual needs. Mrs Roesel is married to Steve and they have four daughters that attend TLS: Mary, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Abigail. When she is not working at Trinity she loves spending time with her family.

 

Grade 1
Dusty Drosche

Mr. Drosche grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended St. Mark Lutheran School and Lutheran High North. Mr. Drosche received his BA in Elementary Education from Concordia University in Austin. After college he began teaching first grade at St. John Lutheran in New Orleans, LA. Due to Hurricane Katrina Mr. Drosche relocated back to Houston and began teaching first grade at Memorial Lutheran. Mr. Drosche joined the Trinity staff in 2009, in addition to teaching first grade he is also in charge of the school's Yearbook. He enjoys reading, movies, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Drosche's wife Amy is the Director of Trinity Lutheran Children's Center. They have two sons Braeden and Jackson who both attend TLCC.

Melanie Bellinger

Mrs. Bellinger grew up in Utica, Michigan. She attended college at Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska and received a BA in Education and English with a minor in Educational Psychology and a minor in Primary Education. Mrs. Bellinger also has a Reading Specialist master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. After college, she married Daniel Bellinger and moved to Houston.  Melanie has been teaching at Trinity since 2004.  Her husband, Daniel, practices dentistry in west Houston. 

Grade 3
Adam Williams

Mr. Williams is a graduate of Grand Valley State University in Michigan. Mr. Williams comes with outstanding references and a true passion for working with children. He grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended both Lutheran elementary and high schools. His parents are both professional Lutheran educators and Mr. William’s sister is our own Mrs. Bellinger.

Grade 4
George Horneber

Mr. Horneber (pronounced Horn Neighbor) prefers to be called Mr. George. Mr. George has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Concordia University and a Masters in Teaching from The Graduate School of St. Thomas, both in St. Paul, MN. Mr. George retired after teaching for over 25 years, of which 10 years with  Houston Independent School District and 15 years with Aldine Independent School District. Since his retirement six years ago he has been an active substitute for both Trinity Lutheran School and Houston Christian High School. Mr. George has been well received in all the classes for which he has been a substitute. Mr. George feels the technique of teaching varies little but that the subject matter varies a great deal more. Mr. George truely believes that teaching is his calling.
