Hundreds of people gathered at the Chapel of St. Timothy & St. Titus for the Service of Praise with Assignment of Calls on April 24th. Many more watched the service streamed live across the country and some even gathered to watch the worship in the Sanctuary of Trinity Downtown. During this special service on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, graduating pastoral candidates heard where they would begin their ministry. Having extended a Call requesting a candidate for Trinity Downtown, the members of the congregation were delighted to learn that God had answered in the person of Michael Hofmann.
Michael and his wife, Stacy, are both graduates of Concordia University Texas. Michael’s parents live in Houston, TX and Stacy’s parents live in El Paso, TX. They have been married for two years. Michael enjoys exercising, sports, hunting, fishing, shooting, kayaking, biking, swimming, movies, and video games. Stacy enjoys volleyball (playing and coaching), exercising, sports, cooking, dancing, board games and music. Michael served as a vicar (one year internship) at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Olathe, KS where this couple quickly made many friends and were blessed in ministry. They are so excited to join the ministry team at Trinity Downtown.
In his role as Associate Pastor of Missions & Outreach, Michael will have the following key areas of focus:
Exciting the congregation with a diverse set of opportunities to serve and reach unchurched people in the burgeoning neighborhoods within 8 miles of Trinity;
Building strong relationships with Upbring and the unchurched parents attending their school; and
Closely integrating with Trinity’s existing high performance teams (including staff and volunteers) while bringing fresh perspectives and a sense of urgency.
Michael will be Ordained at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Kerrville, TX on Sunday, June 24th at 6:00 p.m. The following Sunday, July 1, Michael will be Installed at Trinity Downtown.
