What a privilege it is to be a child of God and to have the opportunity to share the Gospel message of Jesus’ saving love with others.  As a Christian, this is our highest calling and it is the heart of missions.  The mission activities of Trinity Lutheran Church are coordinated by the Missions Ministry Action Team (MAT).  The mission statement of our Mission MAT is to “Be doers of the Word, connecting people to Jesus locally and globally,” and our guiding Scripture is from Acts 1:8 “You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the Earth.”

Our guiding principles are to be hearers and doers of the Word, and to execute on the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.  This is accomplished by creating opportunities to share the Gospel with people in long-term partnerships based on developing relationships, as well as one-time outreach events.  We also work to equip our members to effectively share the Gospel  and encourage them to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of others within our church (Jerusalem), in our neighborhoods (Judea), in our local community (Samaria) and in our world (to the ends of the Earth).

Every Christian can and should be involved in missions.  We each can pray.  We each can give. We each can go.  If you are interested in learning more about missions at Trinity, please feel free to contact Pastor Michael Hofmann at or at 713.229-2905.
