Worship and Prayer Encourages and Inspires

Trinity is a church and school near downtown Houston with all kinds of activities to help you and your family discover, explore, and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We meet together to worship God and learn more about Him. Worship at Trinity features inspiring music and dynamic messages that are relevant to the needs of people today. Trinity Downtown has been a vibrant and active church in Houston for over 135 years. The worship and Bible study are relevant to today’s issues and can be easily applied to your life. The worship styles range from traditional to modern.

We invite you to come to a worship hour best suiting your schedule and style. One question that we hear quite often is “What do Lutherans Believe?” Part of the question is fairly easy to answer. To really understand, though, we encourage you to visit Trinity Downtown. Make plans this Sunday to visit Trinity Downtown for one of our weekend Worship services and join us in singing praises to the Lord.

Saturday Evenings and Sunday Mornings

Traditional – 8:15am and 10:50am Sundays in the Sanctuary

A traditional style of worship that has been part of the Christian church for hundreds of years. The service follows closely the order for worship outlined in the Lutheran Service Book. Music is primarily accompanied by a large pipe organ, although a variety of instruments are used to enrich the singing of the rich hymnody of the Lutheran church. Children’s messages are offered during this service which offers something for everyone. If you like a structured order of worship, you will enjoy this worship opportunity which is conducted with excellence at Trinity.

Modern Worship – 5:00pm Saturdays in the Gym

Trinity Lutheran Church is known for its rich worship history. The modern worship service is an, informal, relaxed, community-focused style of worship. The worship experience includes modern Christian music in a relaxed atmosphere where gourmet coffee and cookies are served. Participants have the option of sitting at a table or in a row of seats. The service utilizes multimedia and video to help speak the language of our culture.

Baptism

At Trinity, we believe that Baptism is God’s way of welcoming His children into His family. Based on the words of Scripture, we baptize all ages. If you would like to be baptized, or would like your child to be baptized, please fill out the form using the link below. If you have any questions about our practice of baptism, please contact one of our pastors who would be more than willing to speak with you about it.

Weddings at Trinity

Trinity offers a beautiful traditional sanctuary with a long aisle that is popular as a Christian wedding venue.
Please contact Trinity Garrett, our wedding coordinator, at 713.229.2937 if you are interested in seeing what we have to offer.

Staffed Nursery

Trinity offers a professionally-staffed nursery for children 11 months to 5 years old during all regularly-scheduled worship services. We encourage children to worship with their families, and they are welcome in all of our worship venues.
