Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Downtown:

Mary Magdalene was grief-stricken over Jesus’ crucifixion. She grieved His loss, and famously went to Jesus’ tomb to mourn, and to do what little she could to honor Him. His death had left a void in her heart.

Can you relate to Mary? Has Jesus gone missing in your life? Are you surrounded by circumstances that seem to indicate that He’s no longer around? Does it feel like your prayers bounce off the ceiling? Or perhaps you feel like your relationship with God is lifeless. Do you feel spiritually empty; worried that you might have “lost” your vitally important connection with God?

If so, then the message of Easter is just what you need. Come find a God that pursues each of us, even if we didn’t care about a relationship with him. Come hear about Jesus, who suffered, died and rose again to pay the penalty for your sins and open the way for the Holy Spirit to continually whisper to your heart “You know, I really DO love you so deeply that you can’t fully comprehend it.”

God’s love for us is on full display this Sunday at Trinity Downtown as we recognize his sacrifice and celebrate his resurrection. Come celebrate at Easter Festival services at 9:00 and 11:00 am in our newly-renovated Sanctuary. Between services, bring your children to the Empty Tomb party in the Gym with family-friendly activities including crafts, coloring stations, snacks and prayer stations.

On this most important Sunday of the year, come join with the other beloved sinners at Trinity Downtown as we worship our gracious God and welcome the resurrected Savior. Come join us in a spirit of humility and repentance and be reminded of how dependent we are on God’s guidance and grace. Recall the great cost Jesus paid in showering that grace upon us, and His promise that death is not the end. This weekend, give Him the opportunity to re-position your heart, redeem your circumstances and deepen your recognition that you are totally dependent upon Him for both your salvation and your very life.
