Experiencing Unconditional Love

Trinity Downtown > Blog > Experiencing Unconditional Love

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 ESV

Here’s how you can participate:

Save the date on your calendar for Trinity’s Fall Kickoff being held on Sunday, August 27th. We’ll be blessing our students (along with their backpacks!) as they re-enter school and enjoy BBQ from the Holy Smokers. We look forward to seeing you!

● In preparation for the Fall kick-off of our children’s Discipleship Hour, we are in need of additional leaders who have a passion for teaching students in PreK 4/5 and 3rd/4th grade. Please email Haley Davisson (hdavisson@trinitydt.org) if you are feeling a tug from the Holy Spirit to help this important ministry!

● You won’t want to miss the Hymnal Marathon starting at 9:00am on Saturday, August 12th at Trinity. Organist Benjamin Kolodziej will play all 635 hymns in the Lutheran Service Book! It’s a “come and go” affair, and you may join either in-person or via video streaming.

Here’s some info you’ll want to know-

If you’re looking for an adult Bible study class during the summer months, Pastor Dorn and Pastor Lonnie are offering a class during the Discipleship Hour each Sunday in Room 123. You may find a complete list of our classes by clicking here, or you can find a brochure in the Narthex, Foyer or Gathering Space.

Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Downtown:

Everyone loves “love”. Popular culture says “love makes the world go round”, and even the most hardened criminal or terrorist can’t go through life without loving someone or something. But the brotherly love or romantic attachments we often call “love” pale in comparison with the comprehensive, all-encompassing love that God offers to us.

This Sunday at Trinity Downtown, we’ll be starting a new 5-week series looking at the fruit that the Holy Spirit naturally develops into our lives as we follow Jesus. This Sunday, we’ll be focusing on love, the fruit that represents perfect communion with God.

If you are hungry to discover unconditional love that gives, and then gives some more, come Sunday and join the throng of beloved sinners who will gather to hear the Holy Spirit’s whispers of hope. It will make a world of difference in your life.
