Trinity Update 10.20.23

Trinity Downtown > Blog > Trinity Update 10.20.23
The remainder of 2023 will a busy time at Trinity Downtown! Check out how you can join in these activities:

Volunteers are needed for Trinity’s annual Trunks ‘n’ Treats that is coming up on Friday, October 27th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Education Center. Don’t miss Haley Davisson’s previous “needs” email with a list of specific opportunities to serve our community. In addition, you may drop-off donations of candy at the marked boxes available around the campus.

● Our annual Congregational Assembly will be held in the Gym starting at noon on November 12, 2023. The Holy Smokers team will be providing box lunch sandwiches with pulled pork or chopped beef for the attendees starting at 11:30 am.

● Following the Congregational Assembly, you can enjoy an organ concert sponsored by Trinity’s Concert Series featuring Stephen Buzard at 2:30 pm on November 12. Mr. Buzard serves as Director of Music at St. James Cathedral in Chicago and is considered one of the leading organist of his generation.

This Sunday at Trinity Downtown, we’ll be continuing our sermon series working our way through the book of 1st Samuel. This week, our focus is on chapter 7, an Old Testament text that paints a beautiful picture of the coming Messiah.

This Sunday’s worship folder can be found by clicking here. Our Scripture readings are:

1st Samuel 7

Matthew 22:15-22

You can watch the “live stream” of our Sunday morning worship service by clicking here. Of course, you may also participate by watching the “on demand” video of any of our previous services by clicking here.

Thankful to be your Pastor,

Michael Dorn
