Trinity Downtown is a busy place this October! Check out how you can participate:
● Mark your calendars now to attend two big events on Sunday, October 15th:

● Trinity’s annual Oktoberfest celebration from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm on the church campus. We’ll have brats and all the fixings prepared by our Holy Smokers, beer from St. Arnold’s Brewery, music provided by EON Brass, dominos and interactive games.

● Get a chance to throw a pie in the face of Pastor Dorn, Pastor Lonnie or Haley by buying raffle ticket(s) for $2 each at the booth in the Foyer

● Be sure to bring your Trinity Downtown stein to the event

● Stick around for a Concert Series presentation at 2:30pm featuring the Concordia-Irvine Orchestra under the direction of Jeff Held.

● Trinity’s annual Trunks ‘n’ Treats is coming up on Friday, October 27th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Education Center. Don’t miss Haley Davisson’s email with a list of specific opportunities to serve our community, and you may drop-off donations of candy at the marked boxes available around the campus.

● Don’t forget that nominations for the 2024 Governing Board and Nominating Committee are now being accepted, and are due by Monday, October 9th.

This Sunday at Trinity Downtown, we’ll be continuing our sermon series working our way through the book of 1st Samuel. This week, our focus is on chapter 5, where we are reminded of God’s awesome power, and awed at the refuge of grace provided by Jesus.

This Sunday’s worship folder can be found by clicking here. Our Scripture readings are:

1st Samuel 5

Philippians 3:4b-14

Matthew 21:33-46

You can watch the “live stream” of our Sunday morning worship service by clicking here. Of course, you may also participate by watching the “on demand” video of any of our previous services by clicking here.

Thankful to be your Pastor,

Michael Dorn
