C.S. Lewis was one of the intellectual giants of the 20th century and arguably one of the most influential Christian thinkers of his day. He was gifted with an uncanny ability to lay bare the uncomfortable truths underlying our deepest temptations. In his book “The Inner Ring”, Lewis describes a temptation that we probably all face: we want to be counted as part of the “in” crowd, to feel accepted in whatever group happens to matter to us at any particular time in our social lives. We all know the pain involved in feeling excluded, and are sometimes tempted to do “whatever it takes” to avoid that fate, even to the point of compromising our integrity.
This Sunday, we’ll be discussing an incident in Jesus’ life that highlights this problem, and we’ll discover together how we should behave as part of His kingdom. Come join with us at Trinity Downtown as we continue this important study on the upside-down rules of Jesus. Come learn how placing your suffering, distractions, hopes, fears, uncertainties and doubts in the hands of the Lord can lessen our stress load and bring deep transformation in our hearts. Celebrate with us the depth of Jesus’ love for us and find out how you can live a life of significance, filled with meaning. Discover how following Jesus can help you and your family navigate around the minefields of life. I promise you it will make a tremendous difference in your life.
An Update on Pastor Black

I’ve attached a note from the family that gives a bit more detail. Please continue praying, and if you’d like to send a get-well card to Pastor Black and Audrey, you can address it to their home at:
