Our church-wide picnic is this Sunday! You won’t want to miss food from the Holy Smokers, table games and outdoor activities, all at the Education Center’s ball field.
o Food service starts at 11:30 am and we’ll have a big tent for shade. Rain or shine, the picnic is on!
o We’ll have free-will offering boxes, and all proceeds that exceed
expenses will be added to the Harms-Bahnken missions fund.
o Feel free to dress “picnic style” for worship this Sunday.
Modest shorts are OK (God knows what you look like anyway!)
o The Holy Smoker’s will be selling brisket at the picnic for $20/pound.

I hope you didn’t miss last week’s Resurrection Day worship services; they were truly joyous. Lots of worshippers, loads of kids and hearty singing marked the day we set aside to celebrate the most important event in human history.
But, if you’re like me, sometimes doubt about the details of an event that occurred over 2,000 years ago creep in. Can we really trust that Jesus revolutionized our planet by coming back from the dead? Might it all be just a comforting myth? Worse, what do my doubts say about my relationship with God?
Does this sound familiar to you?
If so, then we’re in good company. The Bible tells us that Jesus’ disciples had the same reaction. It’s instructive to see how Jesus reacted to their doubts. Did he condemn them? Chase them away? No; He redeemed their doubts and converted it into rocket fuel for their faith.
So humbly come to Jesus with your doubts. He will do the same thing for you and me.
We’ll talk about this in more detail this Sunday at Trinity Downtown as we celebrate the power of God to transform our hearts and lives. Come, and invite a friend who might need their faith renewed.
